ڈپٹی نذیر احمدکو اردو کے اول ناول نگار ہونے کا شرف حاصل ہے۔”معراۃ العروس” ان کاپہلا ناول ہے جو اردو کا بھی پہلا ناول قرار پایا۔ جس میں دو مختلف کرداروں کےذریعہ لڑکیوں کی اچھی اور صحیح تربیت کی تعلیم دی گئی ہے۔ زیر نظر اسی ناول کا دوسرا حصہ بعنوان “بنات النعش” ہے۔ جس میں نذیر احمد کا وہی انداز ،وہی زبان ،وہی موضوع ہے۔”مراۃالعروس ” سے لڑکیوں کے تعلیم و تربیت،اخلاق و خانہ داری مقصود تھی۔ زیر مطالعہ ناول کا مقصد بھی ضمنا یہی ہے ۔اس کا مرکزی کردار حسن آرا ء ہے، جو اصغری کےقائم کیے اسکول میں تعلیم پاکر زندگی میں کامیابی حاصل کرتی ہے ۔ اس ناول کے ذریعہ نذیر احمد نے خانگی زندگی میں عورتوں کی قدروقیمت اور مردوں کی زندگی ک بنانے اور سنوارنے میں ان کے کردار کی اہمیت کوواضح کیا ہے۔اس کے علاوہ اس کردار کے ذریعہ نذیر احمد نے معلومات عامہ کی تعلیم دی ہے۔

Deputy Nazir Ahmed has the honor of being the first novelist of Urdu. “Maarat al-Aros” is his first novel which was also declared as the first novel in Urdu. In which good and proper training of girls has been given through two different characters. The second part of the same novel under review is entitled “Banat al-Naish”. In which the same style, the same language, and the same subject as Nazir Ahmad, “Marat al-Aros” meant the education and training of girls, morals, and housekeeping. This is also the purpose of the novel under study. Its main character is Hasan Ara, who succeeds in life after studying in the school established by Asghari. Through this novel, Nazir Ahmed has explained the value of women in home life and the importance of their role in making and embellishing the lives of men. Apart from this, through this character, Nazir Ahmed has taught public information.
